Our first training course of the term will cover what Down syndrome is, the needs of a child or young person with Down syndrome, learning profile and outline strategies to help manage communication, learning and behaviour.

Including children with Down syndrome - An introduction

Wednesday  30th September, 9.00 to 1.00pm

This session will introduce Down syndrome to people who have little experience of working with children with Down syndrome and cover society’s view of Down syndrome, health implications, strengths and weaknesses in the classroom and outline ways to address the specific learning needs and manage behaviours of children with Down syndrome.

COST: £80 per professional (£20 for a second person from the same school/organisation)

/£20 per family member.
