Online Payment Systems for School Meals

Please be aware that Bradford Council's in house education catering provider, Facilities Management, are currently undertaking a procurement exercise to choose a partner organisation who will implement the roll-out of an online payment system for all schools where we provide catering services.

 Online payment systems offer a number of benefits including:

 

  • Convenient method of payment for parents/guardians
  • The creation of a secure, cash free environment in schools
  • Reduced admin time and security cost
  • More effective management of school meal debt

 

The tender process is already underway, with evaluation taking place over the summer and we will communicate the outcome of the process to schools in September.

 

The roll-out of the new online payments system to schools is scheduled to take place from October 2015 and your FM catering account co-ordinator will be able to provide you with further information at this time.
