There will be a wide range of free play activities which will include: a climbing tower, circus skills, DJing, den building, arts and crafts, sports games, face painting, scrap and loose parts play and much more.
The event will also kick-start a whole range of summer play activities for children and young people across the Bradford District.

Coun, Susan Hinchcliffe, Executive Member for Education, Skills and Culture, said: "This will be a fantastic event that’s open to all children and families to come along and enjoy. Keeping children active is so important to a child’s development. This event
and the other summer activities taking place will give children and young people across our district the opportunity to learn whilst having fun."
Coun Michelle Swallow, Bradford Council’s Play Champion, said: "I am thrilled that we are able to continue to offer such a great event for the district, and I will certainly be attending with my own children! I am looking forward to a full and varied programme
of events for children, young people and families to enjoy throughout the summer.”
The Big City Play Day event has been organised by the local authority and lead partners and members of the District’s Play Partnership Executive. The Play Partnership Executive, which is chaired by the district’s play champion Coun Michelle Swallow, are
committed to improving the lives of children and young people through play and play work.
Activities will be provided by a range of organisations including the Council’s play team and play development unit, the Big Swing adventure playground, Bradford Community Environmental Project, and Bradford Play Network.
