Information below about how pupils can apply to join the ice hockey team or information about skating lessons at the Bradford Ice Arena.

Ice hockey is a fast and active sport which helps children and young people develop physically and mentally and is good for developing team skills etc.

Bradford Bulldogs Ice Hockey Teams won the National Championships, this year. The Club is looking for new recruits, particularly for the Under 9s and Under 11s teams!

To assist children to work towards joining the team, beginners’ ice hockey lessons are held every Wednesday 5.30 - 6.30pm.

Players must be aged 5 and over and be able to skate to a basic standard. Players will need their own skates (boots can be borrowed for the first few sessions) but helmet and stick hire is included.

Qualified coaches guide children through the basics of puck control and passing and shooting before moving on to play small games.  Cost per lesson is £4.00. There is no need to book…..just turn up!

Please ring Andy Brown, Head Coach, at the ice arena for further information on 01274 733535.  For further information about skating lessons please visit the website at
