Numicon: Assessment Without Levels

With clear opportunities to assess the understanding of every child, the Numicon approach enables all teachers to face the increased demands of the new National Curriculum with confidence.

The research-based Numicon approach, centred around three guiding principles; communicating mathematically, generalising, and making connections, is proven to foster a depth of understanding and mathematical independence in children.

In this free half-day workshop we will:

  • Show you how Numicon can help all your pupils achieve in mathematics

  • Exemplify how this approach enables you to formatively assess mathematical knowledge and understanding accurately

  • Model how Numicon captures all pupil’s ability to apply their knowledge andunderstanding of mathematics across the curriculum

  • Demonstrate how to track children’s mastery of key mathematical concepts and progress throughout the year 

When: Tuesday 20th October 2015, 1.00-4.30pm
Registration is at 1.00pm. The event starts at 1.30pm.

This event is for Headteachers from schools who do not currently use Numicon and would like to find out more about this proven approach to teaching maths.

Owing to the popularity of these events, places are limited to one delegate per school.
