We will be doing maintenance to our website systems on Sunday, 23 August. Despite the ongoing situation with Covid-19 it is essential that we maintain the security of our systems. This will help us continue to deliver vital public health messages and information about council services via our website and allow you all to access our services using online forms. The work should be done with little disruption to you and any interruption should be short. If you do have problems accessing the site or something doesn’t work on Sunday, please try again later.
The next Public Forum for Education will be looking at the latest developments that are happening in the groundbreaking Born in Bradford programme. The forum takes place in the Banqueting Suite in City Hall on Wednesday 24 June from 4.30 to 6.30pm.
The aim of Born in Bradford is to find out more about the causes of childhood illness by studying children from all cultures and backgrounds as their lives unfold. The project started in 2007 and is looking to answer questions about our health by tracking the lives of 13,500 babies and their families and will provide information for studies across the UK and around the world. The forum will allow parents, young people and practitioners to learn from the latest research findings and how they can help support and develop better outcomes for the district’s children and young people. Speakers at the forum will explore:-
· What’s new: an update from Born in Bradford · Applying learning to meet children’s needs · Improving environments: air quality, health and learning · Improving the National Child Measurement Programme Anyone with an interest is welcome to attend. To book a place contact Heidi Hardy on (01274) 434335 or e-mail the reply slip to Public.Forum.for.Education@bradford.gov.uk or fax to (01274) 431784.
