Improved access to district’s contraception and sexual health services

The location of contraception and sexual health services across the Bradford district is changing to improve access for residents.

Starting from Friday 31 July, services will be delivered from a central hub and five community based sites.

Services will initially be delivered from the Hillside Bridge Health Care Centre from Monday to Saturday.

Sexual health services will also be available at Farfield Group Practice in Keighley, Bevan Health Care on Piccadilly, Canalside Health Care Centre in Bingley, Windhill Green Medical Centre in Shipley and Bowling Hall Medical Practice on Rooley Lane.

Clinic opening times will be confirmed closer to the change of service date.

There is no requirement for professionals to refer individuals to the new services. Anyone wanting to access contraceptive or sexual health screening services can either visit a clinic or telephone 030 3330 9500 to book an appointment. The existing 01274 200024 number will divert to the new number.

Those currently using sexual health or contraception services before 31 July will continue to have their issue dealt with by the same staff but may be informed of a change in location from this date.

The improved access is part of a transfer of services to Locala who were recently awarded the contract for contraception and sexual health services across the Bradford district.

Locala Community Partnerships is a community interest company (social enterprise) with extensive experience of providing community healthcare services. You can find out more at www.locala.org.uk.
