There is plenty of great work going on in schools and other education settings across the district - but not everyone is getting to hear about it. That's why we launched Educate Positive, a regular bulletin that comes with senior director approval and is
published to the public via the
Bradford Parents on the Go blog.
This represents a great opportunity for individual schools to get the word out to parents and the local community about their successes. But it's also more than that: by taking part, schools are not only benefiting themselves but are contributing to a wider
collaborative effort to share best practice and celebrate ever higher standards. It's about getting into the habit of publicising excellent results - in whatever shape or form - and how they were achieved.
All schools are urged to take part. Please take a look at the previous bulletins
here if you want some idea of the kind of successes that have been shared so far.
Perhaps you have an unusual way of teaching a particular subject? A new way of engaging different groups of pupils? Perhaps you have used new technologies to great effect? Or perhaps it's something else entirely. As long as it has delivered proven results,
we want to hear from you.
We've had a very positive response so far but now we want to build on that. Right now we especially need more
secondary and post-16 stories to share, so if that's you then please do get in touch, but likewise we are continually on the lookout for great success stories right across the board.
Please email Simon O'Hare or Alyson Hardaker in the first instance if you have a great story that you would like to see featured.
