There are 3 separate proposals:
- The development of new provision for primary aged children and young people with communication and interaction needs including Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) by establishing a Designated Specialist Provision (DSP) at Haworth Primary School.
- The development of Learn and Play provision for pre 5 children with communication and interaction needs including autistic spectrum conditions (ASC) by establishing a Designated Specialist Provision (DSP) at High Park School.
- To increase the pupil numbers at High Park School from 80 to 95.
Prior to the publication of statutory notices, the Local Authority is required to undertake consultation with all key stakeholders. The consultation period will run from 13 April to 11 May 2015.
The outcome of the consultation will be considered by the Strategic Director of Children’s Services who will determine whether the Local Authority should proceed with the publication of statutory notices. The outcome of the statutory consultation will be
the subject of a report to the Council’s Executive in September 2015.
If we are able to proceed as we hope it is proposed that the provision will be open to pupils from January 2016.
