Publishing a Local Offer of available services
The Local Offer - publishing information on available services to children with SEND and their families
The Children and Families Act (2014) placed a new requirement on all local authorities to publish a Local Offer on 1 September 2014. The Local Offer must provide information on services across Education, Health and Social Care for children and young people
who are aged 0 - 25 years and have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). It also provides information and advice for young people preparing for adulthood.
The Local Offer must include information about local provision and provision outside of the area that is likely to be used including regional and national specialist provision.
There is a duty on schools and further education providers to publish an SEND Information Report which includes information about your individual school offer All Schools and colleges which are located within Bradford
local authority area or we currently place a child or young person with you, Bradford Council is required to include information about your SEND Information Report/school offer within Bradford’s Local Offer.

At SENCo update meetings, attendees suggested the Council should produce a guidance template for School Local Offer's ('School SEN Information Report') which could be extended to reflect individual school circumstances.
