To be completed by: Tue 21 May 2019

Time: -Tue 21 May 2019 | Venue:

Join us for a new series of six Star Leadership Lectures, featuring Sir Michael Wilshaw and guests. . The events will take place over the next year and will be open to leadership teams from all Bradford schools free of charge.

The series will focus around core themes that are fundamental to the role of school leadership, bringing Sir Michael’s experience together with inputs from a range of contributors from the education sector in Bradford and beyond.  We initially planned to hold these events for our own staff at Star Academies, but we have decided to open up the events to all Bradford schools to provide everyone with an opportunity to hear from and engage with these high profile speakers.

The series will span a range of topics from standards in education, to culture, performance management and teaching. It aims to inspire senior leaders in Bradford schools to lead their schools to new heights by learning from the experiences of industry leaders.  The launch event will focus on ‘The importance of leadership in raising standards’ and will take place on Thursday 20 June with refreshments from 4:30pm and the main event running from 5:00pm-6:30pm at Tong Leadership Academy in Bradford. Our first two guests that will join Sir Michael Wilshaw are Susan Hinchcliffe, Leader of Bradford Council and Anne-Marie Canning MBE, Chair of the Bradford Opportunity Area Board.

We hope you will join us for these exciting opportunities to bring school leaders together to focus on the power of school leadership and to improve outcomes for the children in Bradford.  To reserve your place, please click here or contact Ann Fitzgerald at ann.fitzgerald@staracademies.org.
