Encourage your pupils to join Bradford Libraries this summer with the Space Chase Summer Reading Challenge 2019. This year the Summer Reading Challenge is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first landing on the Moon. It all starts from Saturday 13th July.

The Summer Reading Challenge is a national initiative, delivered by libraries with The Reading Agency, to encourage 4 to 11 year olds to continue to read throughout the summer holidays.

Children will be given a Space Chase folder with stickers to collect, along with bookmarks; Space Chase Snakes & Ladders paper game; Space Chase Window Clinger; Space Chase Wristband and on completion ie having read 6 books, a Space Chase Certifcate and Medal. It's all free and children only need a library card to register.

Bradford Libraries are having lots of activities for all children (and parents too!) to support Space Chase, details of which will be on our web pages soon.

If you would like to know more; find out how your school did last year or get some ideas of ways to encourage participation in your school please contact: Development Officer for Children and Young People christinea.donnelly@bradford.gov.uk
