Orchestral instrument players of Grade 5 standard and above are welcome to audition. Some instruments such as woodwind have limited places. We are particularly interested in higher level percussion/kit players.
I would be grateful if you could pass this email on to anyone you think might like to audition. Students are expected to still participate in their school groups if they become a member of the orchestra.
The orchestra undertakes exciting projects. They are recording the backing to a Soul band album, and have performed at Music for Youth National Festival in Birmingham’s Symphony Hall on more than one occasion. Next year they will be participating in the
Music for Youth Festival again and going on tour to Europe.
