Bradford Libraries are delighted that we can offer schools five performances of
Jackie and The Beanstalk for children from Reception and KS1.
Jackie and The Beanstalk is a modern what-happened-next story to the classic tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. Jackie is about to learn something very important. Once upon a time, her Grandad Jack climbed a beanstalk. Once upon a time, her Grandad Jack
broke into a castle. Once upon a time, her Grandad Jack stole from some Giants, chopped down the beanstalk and accidentally-on-purpose killed a Giant! Suddenly Jackie has some very important decisions to make. Can our brave heroine think of a way to help the
Giants, make amends and restore their faith in the humans? Or will the Giants turn her into bean stew!
The show features original live music, song and puppetry. We have performances at five libraries. Each performance is suitable for Reception or KS1 and is approx. 45 – 55 minutes long. The session is free of charge. Schools will be allocated one class place
only (max. 30 children).
