Dear Head teacher, Senco and SEN governor
Re: Educational Psychology Team (EPT) Service Delivery 2019 - 20
As in previous years, Education Health and Care Assessment work carried out on behalf of the Local Authority will be provided to you and funded centrally. We will also continue to provide statutory monitoring reviews for CYP with Education Health and Care
Plans.
The EPT also now offers a number of Early Help hub sessions to enable schools to access support and advice from an EP in a timely and efficient way. Early Help hub sessions are available across the year at a number of locality and central locations. Research
suggest that consultation enables SENCos to feel supported, gain new perspectives, understandings and ideas, develop professional skills and to feel that they are meeting children's needs and working effectively with parents (Chadwick, 2014). Early Help Hub
sessions can be booked via our page on Bradford Schools On Line.
Organisations also have the option of purchasing additional Educational Psychology Team support in blocks of time to meet their own specific needs and priorities. We offer a range of work aimed at promoting inclusion, psychological wellbeing and raising
standards across the full range of age and abilities.
Bradford Educational Psychology Team will work with you to identify and support children and young people with special educational needs, disability and vulnerable learners in your setting. We will provide psychological consultation, assessment, interventions
and advice that focus upon narrowing gaps in attainment, improving academic progress, promoting emotional wellbeing and supporting social inclusion. Bespoke interventions can be developed and delivered on a needs led basis.
Included with this letter is an
audit tool so that you can begin to consider whether you would like to purchase additional time along with our
Traded Services Brochure for 2019 – 20.
As the amount of time available this year is likely to be limited due to a national shortage of Educational Psychologists I urge you to consider booking as a matter of urgency.
In order to guarantee any requests for additional time and to benefit from our early booking price please complete the
attached form and return it to us by 31st March 2019.
Yours Sincerely
Ruth Dennis, Principal Educational Psychologist
