Changes to the Data Sharing Agreement between Bradford Council and Schools

To be completed by: Fri 18 Jan 2019

Time: -Fri 18 Jan 2019 | Venue:

An updated Data Sharing Agreement between Bradford Council and Schools was sent to all headteachers in December. We would be grateful if the schools that haven't already returned their signed Data Sharing Agreement return it before Friday 18 January 2019 by following the instructions below.

Following a review of the current Data Sharing Agreement Bradford Council has in place with Bradford schools; it required updating to reflect the significant changes for how data can be used because of GDPR and our greater reliance on working with partner agencies (e.g. Bradford District Care NHS).  Data will only be shared with partner agencies where there is a legal requirement to do so.

Currently all maintained schools, academies and free schools have agreed to sign up to the existing Data Sharing Agreement which is a fantastic achievement, and we would like this to continue with the updated Data Sharing Agreement so that Bradford Council can continue to support your school through the services it provides to the school, pupils and families.  Some of the services that rely on the sharing of data include the School Admissions Service, SEN and School Transport.

We would therefore be grateful if you would spare some time to read through the updated Data Sharing Agreement, and agree to be a signatory of it by completing the ‘Signed for and on behalf of’ section and return a scanned copy to IMTAnalysisTeam@bradford.gov.uk (copies can also be posted to Jonny Trayer, Bradford Council, Information Management Team, Margaret McMillan Tower, Princes Way, Bradford, BD1 1NN) before Friday 18 January 2019.

If you have any queries regarding the updated Data Sharing Agreement, please contact Jonny Trayer on 01274 439646 or email IMTAnalysisTeam@bradford.gov.uk.
