Time: -Thu 24 Jan 2019 | Venue:

Every school and many early years settings are likely to have at least one child who is severely allergic to a type of food. For many children, the symptoms of allergy are mild, however, occasionally the symptoms are severe and they may even be life-threatening.

  • Are you aware of The Food Information Regulation which was introduced in December 2014?
  • Are you and your childcare setting aware and confident of your responsibilities in relation to the 14 food allergens?
  • Are you Eip-Pen trained?

Our course will cover the following topics:

  • What is a food allergy / intolerance?
  • Food allergen regulations for childcare providers
  • What does this mean to me?
  • What do I need to do?
  • What are the Allergens?
  • Also, as qualified first aid trainers, we will train you on how to use an Epi-Pen.
