Alison Philipson (literacy consultant) and Sharon Day (maths consultant) have teamed up to deliver some training around the learning techniques needed to be able to access the KS2 SATs tests, primarily inference and reasoning, linked to both Maths and English.
There will be three sessions with gap tasks and it is hoped that both subject leaders for mathematics and English at your school will be able to attend together for all three sessions.
It is expected that your subject leaders will share the techniques, designed to ensure that children in all year groups meet age-related expectations as well as meeting the expectations at the end of their primary education, with teachers across school.
