To enable and empower senior leaders to put mental health at the heart of strategic school improvement. To equip senior leaders with practical and sustainable approaches that can be implemented on return to school.

Course description

Promoting positive mental health is a high profile subject in schools nationally (Transforming children and young people’s mental health provision: a green paper) and locally (Bradford Mental Health Champions initiative).  The course is aimed specifically at Senior Leaders and focuses on reflection of current provision and strategic planning to help develop a mentally healthy school.

 

Leading a Mentally Healthy School aims:

  • to enable and empower senior leaders to put mental health at the heart of strategic school improvement.

  • to equip senior leaders with practical and sustainable approaches that can be implemented on return to school.

On completion of the course schools will have developed a personalised action plan and policy linked to mental health provision in their school.

Date and Time: Tuesday 22nd January 2019 and  Tuesday 12th February 2019 (2 Day Course)  9-4pm

Venue: Southfield School, Haycliffe Lane, Bradford BD5 9ET
