Bradford Council is advising parents and young people to keep a close watch on the proposed industrial action which may affect bus services run by Keighley Bus Company and to make alternative arrangements in case their school run is affected.
Drivers intend to take strike action on Monday 7 January 2019
and Tuesday 15 January 2019, causing disruption to pupils returning to school after the Christmas and New Year break.
As well as regular bus services, many school services are currently under threat of cancellation or reduced frequency on these dates.
The Council and West Yorkshire Metro say parents and young people should keep up to date with developments by visiting the relevant pages on the
Metro and
Keighley Bus Company websites. Updates will also be posted to social media:
The Council will also share information on its own social media channels,
@bradfordmdc and
www.facebook.com/bradfordmdc.
Please note, this action is only being taken by the Keighley Bus Company - all services operated by other bus companies such as First, Arriva, CT Plus etc. are not affected and will operate as usual.
