White Ribbon Day 2018

The 25th November is "White Ribbon Day" and also marks the beginning of the UN's "16 Days of Action to end violence against women & girls".

"Around 1 in 5 children in the UK have been exposed to Domestic Abuse" *

Bradford Council is a White Ribbon UK Accredited Local Authority, and we are encouraging schools to spread the word about White Ribbon in the hope that boys and young men will make the pledge:

"Never to commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women"

Could your school utilise its internal email, student intranet, or social media accounts to highlight the campaign and encourage young men to make the pledge?

If so, you can find our much more about how organisations and individuals can get involved by visiting www.whiteribbon.org.uk
