Fully Funded Careers Leader Training for schools & colleges

As a school or college in one of the government’s 12 opportunity areas, you qualify for a free training place, worth up to £3,500, for your named careers leader.

In addition to funding your place on the training course, we will also pay a bursary to your school or college of £1,000 as a contribution to additional costs.

We have decided to make this offer available as we believe this training is an important step in supporting schools and colleges in opportunity areas to develop and embed a high quality careers programme.

In Bradford Opportunity Area’s plan we committed to support schools to improve aspirations and access to rewarding careers for young people in Bradford. We see this as an important and productive step in doing so.

We are promoting this offer with our partners in Bradford; the Careers and Enterprise Company, the Enterprise Co-ordinators from Leeds City Region LEP, Bradford Pathways and the Industrial Centres of Excellence, as we work together with schools to support and improve careers education in Bradford.

I’d like to encourage you to register for your place on career leader training course as soon as possible. You can do this via the registration form on the Careers and Enterprise (CEC) website.

The training is provided by a range of providers whose offer has been quality assured by the CEC, with some courses offering accreditation and flexibility around start dates.

The registration form is simple and quick to complete, and once you’ve registered you will receive a confirmation email from the CEC, who will shortly be in touch to award your place.
