•This is the universal offer that all children in your school are entitled to;

•It is funded via AWPU
•It demonstrates what you do for all children to accommodate their individual learning needs;
•It should include elements such as:
 

Share of School running costs

Share of Class teacher

Quality First Teaching (Q1T)

Appropriate differentiation linked to Q1 Teaching

 

Range 1

•Children at R1 will have emerging needs and will be borderline / just below age related expectations;
•Up to 2K SEN notional  funding should be in place, to allow flexible grouping and some small group work;
•It should include other elements such as:

Share of additional adult in class

SEND friendly classroom strategies

Flexible grouping for teaching

Other

 

Range 2

•Mild but persistent difficulties;
•Attainment is at least one year below ARE despite targeted differentiation
•Up to 4K SEN notional  funding should be in place, to allow regular small group work and some focused individual support;
•It should include other elements such as:
 

Access to small group support in class

Wave 2  ‘Catch-up’ interventions

Range 3

•Moderate and persistent difficulties;

•Attainment is 66% or less of ARE despite targeted differentiation;
•Up to 6K SEN notional  funding should be in place, to allow small group work and focused individual support on areas of identified need;
•It should include other elements such as:

Individual support to address outcomes in IEP / MSP

EP / ITS / other outside agency involvement

Wave 3 targetted group support
