These 2 days of Music, Art and Dance saw 2400 Bradford pupils frolic in the fountains in Centenary Square to music played by the Bradford Youth Orchestra whilst Bradford Bulls and Bradford City players faced each other in a Cycle Off!  This was the culmination to each day of this fabulous event held to celebrate the start of the Grand Depart.  During the days, pupils had the opportunity to take part in kinetrics, cycling to help to generate sufficient electricity to power the onstage music acts, drawn from a wide variety of styles, and artwork in the form of painting 3D wooden elephants which will be displayed around the District.  The wood was kindly donated by Arnold Laver of Bradford.  Pupils and staff also all participated in a well-rehearsed Mega Sing, led by Helen Richmond, and a Mega Dance, vibrantly choreographed by DM Dance Academy, Shipley.

Despite some showers on Friday 27 June, the atmosphere created by pupils and the performances alike refused to be dampened and feedback from participating schools was overwhelmingly, "when can we do it again?" Watch this space for MAD Day 3!
