Governing Body Checklists

The Governing Body checklist is sent to all clerks early in the autumn term each year so that it can be completed as the year progresses. A second copy is sent to clerks during the summer term for completion and return to the School Governor Service by the
end of the academic year.
This document asks you to report on the statutory and good practice aspects of governance and provides a record of tasks which are the statutory responsibility of governing bodies.
You should note that Internal Audit use these forms as part of any exercise within your school.
